Our Roots

We’re Ashlee and Tanner Shumake—founders, makers, and partners in life and in craft.

Our journey started long before we launched our business. Tanner grew up in the world of construction, working alongside his family in their general contracting business. Over the years, he carved out a passion and a path of his own by starting a custom cabinetry division, where he combined hands-on skill with a lifelong love for woodworking. Ashlee comes from a creative background, bringing experience in marketing, photography, videography, and graphic design—skills that now help us share our work in an intentional and meaningful way.

Together, we started this business with a shared vision: to create beautifully crafted pieces that serve families and strengthen the communities they live in. Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind cabinet or a timeless piece of furniture, our goal is to make work that matters—pieces that last, tell a story, and get passed down through generations.

At the heart of our work is a belief in quality craftsmanship, a commitment to legacy-built design, and a desire to make the process as enjoyable for our clients as the final product.

We’ve been married since 2016 and are raising two sweet daughters, Louise and Josie, who are already growing up surrounded by sawdust, sketches, and plenty of laughter. For us, this business isn’t just about wood and tools—it’s about people, purpose, and building something that lasts.
